David L. Bunning
Judge, Eastern District of Kentucky, 2002-
David L. Bunning is a judge for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Bunning was born on July 14, 1966 in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. He received his bachelor's degree in 1988 from the University of Kentucky and his law degree in 1991 from UK College of Law. In 1991, Bunning clerked in the US Attorney's Office (USAO) for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Following law school, he joined the USAO as an assistant US attorney. In 2001, President George W. Bush nominated Bunning to serve as a judge for the Eastern District, to a seat vacated by Judge William O. Bertelsman. The Senate confirmed his nomination on February 14, 2002.
