John Kenneth Bush
John Kenneth Bush currently serves as a judge for the Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Bush was born on August 24, 1964 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He received his bachelor's degree in 1986 from Vanderbilt University and his law degree in 1989 from Harvard Law School. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable J. Smith Henley on the Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Bush then settled in private practice, first in Washington DC (1990-1996) and then in Louisville, Kentucky (1996-2017). On May 8, 2017, President Donald J. Trump nominated Bush to serve as a judge for the Sixth Circuit, to a seat vacated by Judge Danny Julian Boggs. The Senate confirmed his nomination on July 20, 2017.
