Karl Spillman Forester

Karl Spillman Forester served as a judge for the Eastern District of Kentucky from 1988 to 2014. Forester was born on May 2, 1940 in Harlan, Kentucky. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky in 1962 and a law degree from the UK College of Law in 1966. Following law school, Simpson settled into private practice in Louisville until 1988 Forester. President Ronald Reagan nominated Forester on March 30, 1988 to serve as a judge on the Eastern District Court, to a seat newly authorized by 71 Stat. 586. The Senate confirmed his nomination on July 26, 1988. Forester assumed senior status on May 2, 2005 and served in that capacity until his death on March 29, 2014.
